What would you do if your side hustle suddenly exploded – and you were the only one holding it together?
In this episode of SHE-talks, Lisa chats with Kerryn Langer, the no-nonsense founder behind Arms Of Eve, a global jewellery and accessories brand that has gone from home-grown hustle to multi-million dollar powerhouse.
With no formal business plan and zero background in fashion, Kerryn has scaled a cult brand fuelled by community, consistency, and creative intuition. And sheโs done it all while navigating motherhood, managing rapid growth, and learning how to lead a business as it outgrows every plan she ever had.
From the Kitchen Table to Global Shelves
Kerryn never intended to build a fashion empire. What began as a jewellery line sold at Sydney markets slowly evolved into something far bigger. With each collection, demand grew. Before she knew it, she had a team, an office, and a thriving online store.
But there was no roadmap – just instinct, late nights, and an unwavering belief in the product.
Learning to Lead (and Let Go)
As the brand grew, so did the need for a team. But building and leading one? Thatโs a journey Kerryn is still learning every day.
She talks openly about the messy parts – hiring mistakes, leadership insecurities and the constant challenge of holding high standards without burning out. Arms Of Eve now has a small but mighty team, and Kerryn is the first to admit that surrounding herself with the right people has been both the hardest and most rewarding part of the business.
โI donโt hire based on experience or skill. It’s a personality. Youโve got to move quick, pivot, make mistakes, learn fast. It’s just like a can-do attitude. We like when we hire a Swiss army, like someone who could do multiple things.โ
When Growth Gets Real
Arms Of Eve is stocked in major retailers, ships worldwide and continues to grow year on year. But growth hasnโt always felt glamorous. From warehouse chaos and logistics nightmares to hiring missteps and the weight of leadership, Kerryn opens up about the messy middle of scale.
Despite her success, sheโs stayed deeply involved in the details – from sketching new designs to packing orders at Christmas. Why? Because staying close to the product and the customer is non-negotiable.
Juggling Mum Life (and Madness)
As a founder and mum of three, Kerryn doesnโt sugarcoat the challenges of doing it all. From school drop-offs to supplier calls, sheโs constantly context-switchingโฆ but sheโs also building a business where her team and family can thrive.
Her approach is grounded, real, and refreshingly honest. There are no hacks – just priorities, support, and a clear sense of what really matters.
โMy kids have been on the journey since we were two. They would come visit me at the markets and have their guys let me and watch me and sit with me and navigated with me. It’s definitely a balance and it’s definitely tricky, and I do miss aspects of things in the year, but the big milestones I’m always there for.โ
